What is Athlete's foot?

Athlete’s foot is a common fungal skin infection that affects the feet — especially between the toes. It causes itching, redness, peeling skin, and sometimes painful cracks or blisters. It spreads easily in warm, damp environments like showers, gyms, or inside shoes.

Although it’s not usually serious, leaving it untreated can lead to infections, especially if the skin breaks or if you have conditions like diabetes. Many over-the-counter creams offer temporary relief, but if it keeps coming back or spreads, it needs professional care.

At Rithik’s Mobile Foot Care, I offer effective, at-home treatment for athlete’s foot. I identify the infection, gently cleanse the affected area, and guide you on the right antifungal care and hygiene to clear it up fast and stop it from coming back.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does athlete’s foot look like?

It usually starts as itchy, peeling skin between the toes. You might notice redness, dryness, or small blisters — sometimes with a burning feeling.

Is athlete’s foot contagious?

Yes. It spreads through shared surfaces like floors, towels, or shoes. It’s important to treat it early and follow hygiene steps to avoid spreading it.

Can you treat it at my home?

Yes. I provide mobile foot care in the comfort of your own home. I bring everything needed for safe, hygienic treatment.

Can it come back again?

It can if not treated properly. I provide clear aftercare advice on preventing reinfection, including footwear tips and hygiene routines.

Is this service safe for diabetics?

Absolutely. I’m fully trained to work with high-risk clients, and I include a Free Diabetic Foot Health Check with every visit.

Can I still wear shoes while it heals?

Yes, but avoid tight or non-breathable shoes. I’ll give you guidance on what to wear and how to keep your feet dry and clean to support faster healing.

What if it spreads to my toenails?

If the fungus reaches your nails, it can cause a fungal nail infection, which takes longer to treat. I can assess and treat both conditions early to prevent it from getting worse.

How do I book an appointment?

You can call or WhatsApp me directly on 07493 079917, or use the quick form on this page. I offer same-day responses and often have appointments available within 24 hours.
